16 People Injured in Grenade Blast in Philippine Catholic Church - A total of 16 people were injured in a grenade explosion in the Catholic Church St. Nino City Midsayap, North Cotabato, Mindanao Islands, Philippines. Victims are church members who are following night Christmas Mass, Saturday (24/12).

"There is no closing prayer because there is a commotion. People leave the church," said Virador.
Among the victims, there is one policeman were also injured. He was known was standing near the patrol car 30 meters from the entrance to the church, where a grenade exploded. Tayong said, the possibility still exists another grenade was left around the church.
Embassy of the United States (US) in Manila gave appeal for citizens not to travel to the islands in the south. That was to avoid kidnappings and bomb threats from extremist groups.
In September, 14 were killed and 70 others wounded in a bomb attack in a market in Davao City. Nine members of a terrorist group affiliated with ISIS has been arrested for the attack.
