16 People Injured in Grenade Blast in Philippine Catholic Church - A total of 16 people were injured in a grenade explosion in the Catholic Church St. Nino City Midsayap, North Cotabato, Mindanao Islands, Philippines. Victims are church members who are following night Christmas Mass, Saturday (24/12).
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Mindanao. But the estimated attacks carried out by extremist networks were still active in the region.
Midsayap City Police chief, Bernardo Tayong, said the injured when it was standing on the outside of the church. According to Pastor Jay Virador, is presiding, explosions create mass event does not run smoothly.

Embassy of the United States (US) in Manila gave appeal for citizens not to travel to the islands in the south. That was to avoid kidnappings and bomb threats from extremist groups.
In September, 14 were killed and 70 others wounded in a bomb attack in a market in Davao City. Nine members of a terrorist group affiliated with ISIS has been arrested for the attack.
